This was one of my first big project working on AthletaWell; a community site separate from Athleta’s e-commerce site where women can have a space to have discuss any topic and read resources about health and wellness. The idea of the quiz was that it will increase engagement to the platform while providing users with content tailored to their answers. The quiz results page gathers all the types of content we have and bundles them for the user to enjoy.

Novelty quizes in magazines.

The initial inspiration for the quiz when it was picked as the project for a design sprint. Basically a questionnaire that'll get users to interact with; the results would then show a "horoscope" type summary of the user.

The idea then evolved to a fun way to onboard new and existing users to the site's content: guides, groups and resources (articles & videos).

Results Structure | The results were going to be a slideshow type reveal with each slide giving the user a recommendation on a guide, group, and resource. But since the quiz structure itself was a fullscreen slideshow, we opted for the single page summary approach.

Key Takeaways | The whole quiz sprint further established the brand's voice on the community site. Launching the quiz during a full site redesign definitely was a good strategy since users were exposed to the new look of the site as they were being onboarded by the quiz.

Metrics | The AthletaWell quiz was quite effective in getting user engagment, this data was taken from the 3rd party platform (Jebbit) that we used for the quiz. The 72% completion rate is also very important because a user completing the quiz potentially means a signup to becoming a member of AthletaWell if the user isn't already. Each user who finished the quiz will have now been on-boarded with content that is relevant to their quiz answers. But also suprisingly, we also saw an influx of new posts by users!
